NSW WWCC — why verification is annual rather than 7-day

Modified on Fri, 24 Apr at 3:26 PM

NSW is a specific exception to the 7-day cycle due to limitations with the Office of the Children's Guardian (OCG) portal.

  • Oho verifies NSW WWCCs when the check is first entered, once annually on that anniversary date, and again on the expiry date
  • Interim verifications every 7 days are not possible due to restrictions imposed by the NSW portal

However, when a NSW WWCC is first entered into Oho, the OCG creates a linkage between your organisation and the worker. If a worker's status changes between Oho's annual verifications, the OCG will notify your organisation directly, outside of Oho. This means you should ensure you are set up to receive OCG direct notifications as well.
