In Victoria, workers receive a Services Victoria receipt number after paying for their NDWS application. This is not the same as the NDWS application number and cannot be used to verify against the NDWS register.
If you see what looks like a duplicate NDWS, one of the records may be the Services Vic receipt number. Identify which record has the real NDWS application number and deactivate the one with the Services Vic receipt number.
We recommend communicating this internally to anyone renewing an NDWS in Victoria, since the receipt number remains the same at renewal and the mistake can easily recur.
