Step 1 — The sharing organisation establishes the agreement
- Obtain the sharing code of the organisation you want to share with. This is shared outside Oho (for example via email or phone) for security
- In Oho, go to Settings > Data Sharing and create a new agreement
- Configure role and permissions: view or edit access, summary or detail level, notification preferences, and which party is paying
- Submit the request. A one-time code will be generated
The one-time code must also be shared with the recipient organisation outside of Oho.
Step 2 — The recipient accepts
The receiving organisation enters the one-time code in their Oho instance to accept the agreement.
Step 3 — Agreement in effect
- Both organisations can see the status of the agreement on the Data Sharing settings page
- Either organisation can request that the agreement be ended, but the other party must accept
- The receiving organisation sees a modified dashboard where they can choose to view just their own data or the dashboard of their related organisations
Edit access: If the agreement includes "edit detail" permissions, the receiving organisation can drill through the related organisation's dashboard and edit data directly. Useful for parent/subsidiary relationships but use consciously.
